Richard Wheeler, Senior Pastor
Pastor Rich joined our congreation Feb 2015. Before coming to Foots Creek, Richard served as a Chaplain Assistant in the U.S. Army for eight years, a Pastor of Youth Ministries for 7-1/2 years and as a Senior Pastor for 4-1/2 years.
Richard, who hails from Tucson, Arizona, and Kari, from Vancouver, Washington, met in Portland, Oregon at Multnomah Bible College where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. He also has a Master of Arts in Bible and Theological Studies from Western Seminary. Kari currently serves as our church secretary as well as assisting Richard in many areas of the ministry. They have been married since 1992 and have three children, Shannon, Andrew and Timothy
Elders
Our Elders oversee the business and policy and procedure decisions of the church through prayer. They also are responsible, with the Pastor, for the spiritual oversight of the Church. They assist in administering communion and make the necessary provisions for same. They also hold an annual Easter breakfast for the church.
Trustees
Our Trustees are responsible for many things, some of which include: The care & maintenance of church grounds & buildings; Helping those of our church in desperate need with tasks around their home; Entering into legal contracts for church repairs & required work; Representing the church in meetings with city, county or state officials; and Auditing of the church books.
Board Members
Our Board consists of the Pastors, the Elders, Trustees, Sunday school Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, Treasurer & Assistant Treasurer, Board Secretary and Assistant Secretary.
